It’s back to school
For fun and play with old friends
And to know new ones
There’s laughter, chatter and joy
Cheer is all around
As the group of boys get back together
And the girls busily share their tales.
But oh.. there’s wailing too
As the new younger ones adjust
Angry shouts once in a while
Are also part of it
As a younger one takes apart
The airplane built by the older ones
‘They are new and younger
‘you need to gently tell them’, says teacher
The children try to do as teacher says
Everyone starts to settle in
Yeah…it’s definitely back to school
For another wonderful year ahead!
